This harmonic damper is designed for LS1, LS2, LS3 and LS6 wet-sump applications using the Corvette, Pontiac G8, and Cadillac CTS-V accessory-drive configuration. It features an 8-rib belt drive and standard 7.25-inch diameter, giving you a stronger belt-drive setup without changing the factory-style pulley ratio.

For a serious LS build, the front of the engine isn't the place to cut corners. More ribs mean more belt contact, and that matters when you're leaning on the accessories or putting boost through the motor. The 842 is the kind of upgrade that makes sense when you're building the belt drive around the rest of the combination—especially if you're moving to an 8-rib blower setup but don't want to alter accessory speed.

The 7.25-inch standard-diameter pulley keeps the normal crank-to-accessory ratio, while the 8-rib design gives the belt more surface area to grab. The damper features a single 3/16-inch keyway and is built to exceed SFI 18.1 requirements. Optional dual-keyway and Super Duty Blower Hub configurations are available for more demanding combinations.
