Restore the center section of your Firebird’s rear tail-light panel with this OER reproduction fuel-filler door assembly. Manufactured to original specifications using injection-molded construction, this assembly features the correct smoke-colored lens appearance with a red reflector along the lower edge.
The fuel door is supplied with its mechanical hinge/swing-arm bracket and tension spring already attached, providing a complete replacement for an original assembly that is cracked, faded, damaged, missing, or no longer operating correctly.
This version has a smooth face without the recessed area for a Firebird emblem.(1981 models) It is intended for vehicles originally equipped with a non-emblem fuel door. Firebirds equipped with the recessed bird-emblem design require OER part #5973205.

Important fitment note: Confirm the fuel-door face before ordering. Part #5973870 does not have the recessed area required for a Firebird emblem. For the smoke fuel door with the recessed bird-emblem area, use OER part #5973205.
