Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 833 LSX 8-Rib Harmonic Damper for 1998-2002 Camaro/Firebird & 2004-2006 GTO, 10% Overdrive, Innovators West. This SFI 18.1 harmonic damper is designed for LS1-powered 1998-2002 F-Body and 2004-2006 GTO applications and features an 8-rib drive with a 10% overdrive diameter. The 833 measures approximately 8.125 inches in diameter and weighs 10.7 lbs.

This is the damper you want when the LS1 is getting some boost and the stock front drive isn't cutting it. The larger 10% overdrive diameter spins the supercharger faster, while the 8-rib pulley gives the belt more surface area to hang onto when you're leaning on the throttle. It can also be used with the stock 6-rib belt, letting you overdrive the supercharger without converting the entire accessory drive to 8 ribs right away.

The 833 uses a single 3/16-inch keyway and exceeds SFI 18.1 standards. An optional Super Duty Blower Hub and double-keyway configuration are available for more demanding combinations.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

• This listing is for one 833 harmonic damper.
• Verify crankshaft and accessory-drive configuration before ordering.
• The damper features a single 3/16-inch keyway.
• An optional double 3/16-inch keyway requires the crankshaft to be machined for a second keyway 180° from the original.
• Crankshaft Pin Kit #967 is available for LS1/LS2 GTO and LS1 F-Body applications and is designed specifically for Innovators West dampers. It is required when used with a stock non-keyed crankshaft.
• Use a proper harmonic damper installation and removal tool. Innovators West specifically recommends using the appropriate tools to prevent damage to the crankshaft bolt threads and damper.
• Verify pulley alignment and belt clearance before operating the engine.
• The 8-rib damper can be run with the stock 6-rib belt if the complete accessory drive has not yet been converted to 8 ribs.
• Verify fitment before ordering on modified, swapped, or aftermarket accessory-drive configurations.

Super Duty Blower Hub Option:

• The Super Duty Blower Hub is a thicker hub that provides greater resistance to hub cracking under high-power supercharged applications producing 750 rwhp and greater.
• This option includes a new custom-made timing cover seal to adapt the oversized hub to a stock timing cover.
